Description:
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations
between 2 and 5 inches, with locally up to 6 inches in the most
persistent squalls.
* WHERE...Ashtabula Inland, Ashtabula Lakeshore, and Lake Counties.
* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4
mile due to falling and blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are
expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially
life-threatening. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A potent cold front will move through
Wednesday night, ushering in strong, gusty winds and impactful
lake effect snow Wednesday night into Thursday. Additional winter
weather headlines may be needed for that period.
Instruction:
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally

visibility, and road conditions.
