Description:

A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Nearshore and open waters of Lake Huron from Presque Isle Light to Alabaster... At 349 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located near Harrisville, moving northeast at 45 knots. This storm produced a 27 knot gust at Oscoda.

Instruction:

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
