At 1036 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm,
capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and frequent
lightning. This thunderstorm was located over open waters of the
Atlantic, around 20 miles north of Saint Thomas, moving south at 20
knots.
Instruction:
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.
