Through 245 PM, National Weather Service Meteorologists observed a cluster of strong thunderstorms with occasional bowing segments moving east southeast at near 15 knots over the western Florida Straits. The strongest bowing segments of this line, located south of Cosgrove Shoal Light, are capable of producing wind gusts of 30 to 35 knots, blinding downpours reducing visibility to less than a mile, and isolated lightning strikes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts of 30 to 35 knots, locally rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
