of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These
thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Essex
Village to near Napeague Bay, moving northeast at 30 knots.
Locations impacted include...
Gardiners Island, Orient Point, Fishers Island Sound, Gardiners Bay,
The Race, New London Harbor, Essex Village, Fishers Island, Mouth of
the Connecticut River, and Western Block Island Sound.
Instruction:
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
