At 146 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Flushing, moving southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Jamaica, Flushing, Freeport, Valley Stream, Long Beach, Garden City,
Lynbrook, Woodmere, Rockaway Beach, RFK Bridge, Laguardia Airport,
Kennedy Airport, Jackson Heights, Forest Hills, and Canarsie.
