Description: 
At 1258 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from near Sugarcreek to 23 miles southwest of South Zanesville, or along a line from 12 miles west of Dover to 26 miles southwest of Zanesville, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported trees down in Muskingum County. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Zanesville, New Philadelphia, Dover, Coshocton, Newcomerstown, Strasburg, West Lafayette, Sugarcreek, South Zanesville, North Zanesville, Dresden, Frazeysburg, Gnadenhutten, Tuscarawas, Bolivar, Baltic, Midvale, Mineral City, Port Washington and Pleasant Grove.
Instruction: 
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms have produced damaging winds and are capable of producing large hail. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
