Description:
At 255 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Saint Vrain,
or 14 miles west of Clovis, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Clovis, Ranchvale, Cannon Air Force Base, Saint Vrain, Portair and
Pleasant Hill.
This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 366 and 383.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
