At 429 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 17 miles north of
Elkins, or 39 miles south of Fort Sumner, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Mainly rural areas of North Central Chaves County.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
