Description:
At 721 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles southwest of Toronto to 5 miles southeast of
Fall River to 9 miles southwest of Fredonia, moving northeast at 45
mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Neodesha, Fredonia, Toronto, Fall River, Benedict, New Albany,
Coyville, Buxton, Batesville, Toronto Lake, Fall River State Park,
Fall River Lake, and Cross Timbers State Park.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for southeastern
Kansas.
