At 1156 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Hancock County
Fairgrounds, or 16 miles southeast of Carthage, moving east at 60
mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 1143 PM, an 81 mph wind gust
was reported at the Quincy airport.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Augusta, Bowen, Industry, West Point, Plymouth, Denver, Doddsville,
and Hancock County Fairgrounds.
