East Central Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico...
* Until 1230 AM MDT.
* At 1144 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 25 miles east of
Hagerman, or 41 miles southeast of Roswell, moving northeast at 20
mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR RURAL AREAS OF SOUTHEAST CHAVES
COUNTY.
HAZARD...Baseball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs,
siding, and vehicles.

Mainly rural areas of East Central Chaves County.
Instruction:
Seek shelter now inside an interior room on the lowest floor of a
well-built structure. This storm is capable of producing destructive
hail and damaging winds.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

Accumulations of hail on roads can create very slick and hazardous
