Central Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico... * Until 615 AM MDT. * At 527 AM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 13 miles south of Hagerman, or 31 miles south of Roswell, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Dexter, Hagerman, Lake Arthur and Greenfield. This includes Highway 285 between Mile Markers 79 and 87.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail.
