Description:
At 650 PM CDT/550 PM MDT/, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles
southeast of Nadine, or 13 miles northeast of Eunice, moving east at
30 mph.
HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Seminole, Eunice, Nadine, Gaines County Airport, Florey, Paynes
Corner, and Gaines County Park.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT/800 PM MDT/ for
southeastern New Mexico...and western Texas.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
