Description:
* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, southeast winds 20 to 25 kt
with gusts up to 30 kt expected. For the Gale Watch, southwest
winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 35 kt possible and seas 6 to
9 ft.
* WHERE...Gulf waters from the Walton-Okaloosa County line to
Apalachicola out 60 nautical miles.
* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, from 6 AM this morning to
6 PM CST this evening. For the Gale Watch, from this evening
through Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Another Small Craft Advisory will likely
be needed Monday evening and Monday night.
Instruction:
Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and seas.
