Description:
* WHAT...For the first Small Craft Advisory, west winds 15 to 25
kt and seas 8 to 11 ft. For the Gale Warning, west winds 20 to
30 kt. For the second Small Craft Advisory, northwest winds 15
to 25 kt and seas 9 to 14 ft.
* WHERE...West Entrance U. S. Waters Strait Of Juan De Fuca.
* WHEN...For the first Small Craft Advisory, until 10 AM PST
this morning. For the Gale Warning, until 10 PM PST this
evening. For the second Small Craft Advisory, from 10 PM this
evening to 5 AM PST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
Instruction:
A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
