Description:
* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, southwest winds 15 to 25
kt with gusts up to 30 kt and waves 2 to 3 ft expected. For
the Gale Warning, southwest winds, becoming northwest Thursday
20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt and waves 2 to 3 ft
expected.
* WHERE...James River from James River Bridge to Hampton Roads
Bridge-Tunnel.
* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, from 1 PM to 10 PM EST
Wednesday. For the Gale Warning, from 10 PM Wednesday to 7 PM
EST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
Instruction:
Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.
