Coastal Waters east of Puerto Rico, around Vieques, and around and just north of Culebra and Saint John... Coastal Waters from Cabo San Juan to the waters between Anegada Island and Virgin Gorda and North 10 NM... Coastal Waters of Northern Puerto Rico out 10 NM... Coastal Waters of Southern Puerto Rico out 10 NM... * Until 645 PM AST. * At 516 PM AST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over mainly areas of coastal waters of the Atlantic between mainland PR and Culebra, moving east at 15 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
