The National Weather Service in Newport has issued a
* Special Marine Warning for...
Neuse and Bay Rivers...
* Until 200 AM EST.
* At 1154 PM EST, a cold front was located along a line extending
from 12 nm west of Blounts Bay to 27 nm west of The Vicinity Of
Bath Creek to 23 nm northwest of The Vicinity Of Trent River,
moving southeast at 25 knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
SOURCE...Land based observations. This cold front has a history of
producing wind gusts to 35 knots as it has moved through
inland areas of eastern North Carolina.
IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.
