Description:
At 424 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated moderate snow showers
occurring along a line extending from 8 miles northeast of Marshall
to 15 miles north of Waynesville, and moving southeast at 25 to 30
mph.
Locations to be impacted include... Asheville, Waynesville,
Marshall, Arden, Black Mountain, Woodfin, and Fletcher.
Snowfall rates up to 1 inches per hour will be possible in these
areas.
Instruction:
Snow will accumulate on roads and may also be associated with brisk
winds of up to 30 mph. The combination of snow and wind will cause
visibility to fall to one half mile or less, making travel
difficult. Roads will become slick where snow is able to accumulate.
Be especially cautious if traveling this afternoon and early evening.
