Description: 
At 537 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated the leading edge of an area of snow showers along a line extending from 12 miles east of Erwin Tennessee to near Mount Guyot, and moving southeast at 20 to 25 mph, taking them across the mountains of Western North Carolina. Locations to be impacted include... Asheville, West Asheville, Sylva, Spruce Pine, Waynesville, Burnsville, Marshall, Newland, and Beech Mountain. Localized snowfall rates up to 1 inch per hour will be possible in these areas.
Instruction: 
Snow will accumulate on some roads and may also be associated with brisk winds of 25 to 30 mph. The combination of snow and wind will cause visibility to fall as low as a half mile in some spots, making travel difficult. Roads will become slick where snow is able to accumulate. Be especially cautious if traveling this afternoon and early evening.
