Description:
HAZARDS...A band of moderate to heavy snow which can reduce
visibility to near a quarter of a mile.
LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 359 PM EST, a nearly stationary band of
moderate to briefly heavy snow was located between Laurel Mountain
State Park and Central City.
LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
Somerset, Windber, Friedens, Boswell, Davidsville, Central City,
Paint, Jerome, Scalp Level, Acosta, Ogletown, Tire Hill, Jennerstown,
Hooversville, Indian Lake, Stoystown, Shanksville, Benson, New
Baltimore, and Seven Springs.
This includes The Pennsylvania Turnpike from mile markers 100 to 129.
This includes the following highways...
Route 30 from the Westmoreland county line to east of Indian Lake.
Route 219 from Somerset to Geistown.
SAFETY INFO... Use extra caution if you must travel into or through
areas of heavy snow. Reduced visibility and potentially slick roads
may lead to accidents.
