Special Weather Statement
Urgency:
Expected
Effective:
January 11, 2025 - 11:55am
Expires:
January 11, 2025 - 2:00pm
Description:
Conditions improved on many area roads as skies cleared, allowing
sunshine to melt ice and snow. Windy conditions today also will
allow many roads to dry. However, in areas where snowpack remains
on road shoulders, as well as on bridges and in areas sheltered
from sun or wind, roads may remain icy or wet through sunset this
evening. Temperatures will fall into the teens in most areas
tonight, and under clear skies any wet road surfaces are likely
to refreeze. If you must drive overnight or Sunday morning, drive
with extra caution; slow down and leave plenty of room in front
of you. Consider delaying travel until temperatures warm late
Sunday morning.
