Special Weather Statement
Urgency:
Expected
Effective:
January 11, 2025 - 3:33pm
Expires:
January 11, 2025 - 8:00pm
Description:
Above-freezing temperatures on Saturday allowed the ice and snow
to melt. While most roads were able to dry during the afternoon thanks
to the winds and some sunshine, some shaded areas remain wet. Any
residual moisture will quickly refreeze this evening and
overnight as temperatures quickly drop into the 20s and teens.
Motorists should drive with extra caution through the early
morning on Sunday given the potential to encounter slick spots.
Slow down and leave plenty of room in front of you. Untreated
bridges, overpasses, and sidewalks will be the most prone to black
ice.
