Special Weather Statement
Urgency:
Expected
Effective:
January 11, 2025 - 7:40pm
Expires:
January 12, 2025 - 5:00am
Description:
Above-freezing temperatures on Saturday allowed the snow, slush,
and ice to melt melt. While most roads were able to dry during
the day thanks to the sunshine and winds, some shaded areas
remained wet. Any residual moisture will freeze tonight with low
temperatures in the teens.
Motorists should drive with extra caution through the early
morning given the potential to encounter some slick spots. Slow
down and leave plenty of room in front of you. Untreated bridges,
overpasses, and sidewalks will be the most prone to black ice.
