At 732 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 8 miles north of Tobermory, or 10 miles south of Fayetteville, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Wade, Fayetteville, Salemburg, Hope Mills, Vander, Cedar Creek, Harrells, Ivanhoe, Falcon, and Clinton.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for central North Carolina.
