The combination of a dry air mass, light winds, and mostly clear skies will allow temperatures to cool rapidly this evening and overnight into the mid and upper 30s at many rural valley locations. Thermometers in some of the coldest valleys could approach 32 degrees. If frost occurs, sensitive plants and vegetation may be killed or damaged. Locations near large bodies of water, on ridgetops, and in urban areas will remain warmer and should not have frost.
