Description:
At 736 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles northeast of Ridgway to Hurst. Movement
was northwest at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Herrin, West Frankfort, Benton, Du Quoin, Pinckneyville, Eldorado,
Johnston City, Mcleansboro, Christopher, Rend Lake Area, Sesser,
Zeigler, De Soto, Norris City, Cambria, Royalton, Galatia, Elkville,
Hurst, and Valier.
This includes Interstate 57 in Illinois between Mile Markers 58 and
81.
