At 655 PM MDT/755 PM CDT/, the public reported a cluster of strong thunderstorms 9 miles northwest of Ruleton, moving north at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Mesonet. A 50 mph wind gust associated with decaying thunderstorms occurred 13 miles NW of Ruleton. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Yuma County in northeastern Colorado, northeastern Kit Carson County in east central Colorado, southwestern Cheyenne and northwestern Sherman Counties in northwestern Kansas, including the following locations... Hale. This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 0 and 12. Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 441 and 450. Highway 385 between mile markers 188 and 211.
