Description:
At 307 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 19
miles southeast of Mesa, or 30 miles north of Roswell, moving
northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern De
Baca and north central Chaves Counties.
Instruction:
If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM MDT for
southeastern and east central New Mexico.
