Description:
At 439 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles west of San Jon, or 14 miles east of Tucumcari, moving
northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Logan, San Jon, and Bard.
This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 339 and 371.
Instruction:
If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM MDT for
northeastern and east central New Mexico.
