Description:
At 506 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles southwest of Portales, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Clovis, Portales, Cannon Air Force Base, Ranchvale, Oasis State Park,
Floyd, and Portair.
This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 373 and 391.
Instruction:
If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM MDT for
east central New Mexico.
