At 857 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles southeast of Friend to near Turpin. Movement was east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Garden City, Sublette, and Hayne around 900 PM CDT. Pierceville, Kismet, and Tice around 905 PM CDT. Copeland, Charleston, and Plains around 910 PM CDT. Other locations in the path of these storms include Montezuma and Ingalls.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for southwestern Kansas.
