Description:
At 558 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Schall Circle to
Kings Point. Movement was south around 5 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Wellington,
Lake Worth, Palm Beach, Highland Beach, Ocean Ridge, Greenacres,
Royal Palm Beach, Palm Springs, Lantana, Atlantis, Haverhill, Cloud
Lake, Palm Beach International Airport, Village Of Golf, Golden
Lakes, and Gun Club Estates.
Instruction:
These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the
storm passes.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
