Description:
At 547 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6
miles southwest of Neosho Falls, or 7 miles northeast of Yates
Center, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Iola, La Harpe, Gas, Moran, Neosho Falls, Mildred, Bassett, Iola
Airport, and Piqua.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
southeastern Kansas.
