Description:
At 623 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Lake Elmo, or 10 miles northeast of St. Paul, moving northeast at 30
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Woodbury, Maplewood, Oakdale, White Bear Lake, Stillwater, Hugo,
Hudson, Lake Elmo, Mahtomedi, North Hudson, Bayport, and Afton.
This includes Interstate 94 in Wisconsin between mile markers 1 and
5.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
east central Minnesota...and west central Wisconsin.
