At 1244 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6 miles east of Chetek, or 15 miles southeast of Rice Lake, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Rusk, northwestern Chippewa and southeastern Barron Counties, including the following locations... Island Lake, Holcombe, and Chippewa Moraine State Rec Area. This includes U.S. Highway 53 between mile markers 122 and 124.
