Description:
At 519 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
West Cameron, or 9 miles east of Hornell, moving northeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Bath, Howard, Thurston, Avoca, Cameron, West Cameron, Kanona,
Risingville, North Cameron, and Buena Vista.
This includes the following highway exits...
Interstate 86/Route 17 between 35 and 38.
Interstate 390 near 1.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
