At 705 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Palo Duro Canyon, or 14 miles east of Canyon, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Claude, Palo Duro Canyon, and Goodnight. This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 98 and 104.
