At 113 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms extending from Chapel Hill to 6 miles west of Cary to Garner to 8 miles east of Clayton to near Bailey. Movement was south at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Goldsboro, Smithfield, Mount Olive, Lillington, Garner, and Fuquay-Varina.
