At 333 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Jewell Ridge to Gratton. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Locally heavy rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are possible with this line of storms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Ponding of water in low lying areas is possible. Locations impacted include... Bland... Richlands... Bluefield... Tazewell... Cedar Bluff... Rocky Gap... and Bastian.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Locally heavy rain will quickly reduce visibility and result in ponding of water on roadways, standing water in low lying areas, and minor flooding of creeks, streams, and areas of poor drainage. Drivers are urged to slow down and use extra caution to avoid hydroplaning.
