At 1142 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5 miles northeast of Uptown Charlotte, or near Hidden Valley, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Uptown Charlotte, Huntersville, Kannapolis, Downtown Concord, Salisbury, Central Charlotte, Northeast Charlotte, Southwest Charlotte, East Charlotte, and Northwest Charlotte.
