Description:
At 132 PM AST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Yauco, moving southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Ponce, Yauco, Adjuntas, Guayanilla, Hormigueros, Cabo Rojo, Guanica,
Mayaguez, Sabana Grande, San German, Lajas, Penuelas, Coto Laurel,
Santo Domingo, Tallaboa Alta, Monte Grande, Puerto Real, Capitanejo,
Palomas, and Maricao.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
