Description:
At 731 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Washington to near Wake Village to near Lone
Star. Movement was east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Texarkana, Hope, Atlanta, Wake Village, Ashdown, Prescott, Nash,
Hooks, Jefferson, Linden, Hughes Springs, Lone Star, Queen City,
Redwater, Maud, Red Lick, Fouke, Emmet, Blevins, and Perrytown.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
