Description:
At 225 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms from 13 miles southwest of Grady to 12 miles southeast
of Kenna, moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 55 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Clovis, Portales, Elida, Dora, Grady, Oasis State Park, Cannon Air
Force Base, Saint Vrain, Ranchvale and Pep.
This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 368 and 392.
This includes the following recreation areas...
Oasis State Park.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional
information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
