Description:
At 119 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near East Mountain to near Big Sandy to near
Chandler. Movement was north at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Tyler, Longview, White Oak, Gladewater, Gilmer, Lindale, Big Sandy,
Hawkins, Clarksville City, East Mountain, Rosewood, Hoard, West
Mountain, Lake Palestine, Noonday, Winona, Union Grove, Warren City,
Red Springs, and Carroll.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio

and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
