Description:
At 122 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Queen City, or 8 miles north of Atlanta, moving north at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Texarkana, Atlanta, Wake Village, Nash, Hooks, Queen City, Redwater,
Maud, Red Lick, Ogden, Mandeville, Leary, Mount Pleasant,
Douglassville, Domino, Red Hill, Pleasant Hill, Red Bank, Homan, and
Pine Prairie.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
