Description:
At 302 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles west of Tatum to near Henderson to 7
miles northeast of Sacul. Movement was northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Henderson, Tatum, New London, Beckville, Pinehill, Minden, Lakeport,
Easton, Mount Enterprise, Chapman, Monroe, Lawsonville, Glenfawn,
Fairplay, Stewart, Brachfield, Chalk Hill, Dotson, Church Hill, and
Laneville.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
