Description:
Following the passage of a dry cold front through the area today,
relative humidity values are falling into the range of 25 to 35
percent across much of eastern North Carolina. This very dry air
combined with winds gusting to 25 to 35 mph will bring an
increased risk of fire danger through early this evening. Any
fires could quickly spread out of control.
Outdoor burning is discouraged today. Consult your local burn-
permitting authority to determine whether you may burn outdoors. If
you do conduct any outdoor burning, exercise extreme caution.
