Description:
At 957 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking moderate to heavy
downpours over much of Rhode Island and eastern Massachusetts,
moving northeast at 55 mph. Rainfall totals have ranged from 1.5 to
locally up to 3 inches of rain.
HAZARD...Heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minimal. Ponding of water in areas of poor drainage, and
minor nuisance flooding in more urban areas such as Boston,
Providence, Fall River and New Bedford.
Locations impacted include...
Boston, Providence, Cambridge, New Bedford, Brockton, Quincy, Lynn,
Fall River, Newton, Warwick, Cranston, Somerville, Pawtucket,
Framingham, Waltham, Malden, Brookline, Medford, Taunton, and
Weymouth.
Instruction:
Do not drive through flooded roads or underpasses.
